On Saturday, July 26, we gathered at Overton for a summer Community Day full of rhythm, color, and creativity. Our featured guest, performing artist Valroy Dawkins, led a drumming and Kiswahili workshop, an activity that quickly became popular with our younger attendees.

DJ Janesita kept the afternoon moving with a mix of house, acid, and footwork while "Dinosaur King" Samir D. Lijon-Ali brought joy to young makers with his foil dinosaur-building station.

Back by popular demand, Jenny Guzman led her Bouquet Body Maps activity, where participants created self-portrait bouquets from flowers and greenery grown right at Overton.

Thank you to everyone who came out and brought the energy for another fun afternoon at Overton. Community Days are over halfway through this season! Don't miss the next one by singing up for our newsletter or following us on Instagram.
